Aphasia is a condition characterized by either partial or total loss of the ability to communicate verbally or using written words. Due to brain trauma, injury or stroke, a person with Aphasia may have difficulty speaking, reading, writing, recognizing names of objects or understanding what people have said.
RenéMarie Productions is proud to announce the launching of a fundraiser whose proceeds will establish an Aphasia Telethon and Project. Thousands of people are afflicted with Aphasia, a condition which leaves one speechless after a traumatic experience. Our "Language of Love"
entertainers and committee are energized and committed to sharing their talent for this worthy cause.
On April 8, 1989, ReneMarie, suffered a devastatingly major stroke. As she lays in the clay of the Wagraw 2 softball field in Hawthorne, unconscious and silenced, her whole world changed. When she travels, performs and delivers her keynote speeches, she shares her intimate memories of how it feels to be in that unfortunate and lonely space. She remembers how the simple words THE BOY RAN were a struggle. Her upcoming book, “Stroke of Luck” also shares with all how she met this life crisis with determination, enthusiasm, hope and gratitude.
A Stroke is a Brain Attack!
